Past the halfway mark

Just past the half way mark, after round five of nine rounds, we now mostly have clear leaders in standard chess at the Asian Youth Chess Championships.

FM Miciano John Marvin from the Philippines with 5/5 leads Open U-18, WIM Aakanksha Hagawane from India with 4.5/5 leads Girls U-18, Nguyen Thien Ngan from Vietnam with 4.5/5 in Girls U-14, CM Gukesh D from India with 5/5 in Open U-12, WCM Nguyen Le Cam Hien from Vietnam with 4.5/5 in Girls U-12, Nguyen Ha Khanh Linh from Vietnam with 4.5/5 in Girls U-10 and Adireddy Arjun from India  with 5/5 in Open U-8.

Bigger fights for the leaderboard resulting in ties.

In Open U-16, Koustav Chatterjee and Vatsal Singhania from India, FM Hakemi Arman from Iran and Abdilkhair Abilmansur from Kazakstan are on 4/5, and in Girls U-16, WFM Makhiia Aashna, Sanskriti and WFM Salonika Saina from India, WFM Bacj Ngoc Thuy Duong from Vietnam and WFM Mahdian Anousha from Iran are on 4/5.

Open U-14 has CM Kushagra Mohan and FM Raja Rithvik R from India and Dao Minh Nhat from Vietnam on 4.5/5, while in Open U-10, Dang Anh Minh from Vietnam, Liu Mide and CM Wei Jianzhou from China and Kadam Om Manish from India are on 4.5/5 and in Girls U-8, Enkhuyanga Gandsolmon from Mongolia and Huynh Phuc Minh Phuong from Vietnam are on 4.5/5.
